        I had disconnected from the Internet so it could not check with its home. The notification I got was that it was “not a valid version 4 licence key”.
        I see in the Keygen text file that it has this: “Release Date 2014-12-26”. Perhaps a more recent Keygen is needed.

          Run keygen&patch as administrator
          patch the program exe [“C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 4\BCompare.exe”]
          generate a new key using keygen with different name
          Register with generated key
          done

    Looks like my Antivirus program stripped out the Patch, as it is not in the folder. I will download it tomorrow on my old laptop after disabling my Anti-virus. That way, it does not come near my main laptop. I will report back in a day or so. Thank you.

    Turned off my Anti-virus program and downloaded the “patch & keymaker” again. There is NO patch included with the download.I suggest you download it yourself and have a look. If you had a “patch” in there previously, it is not there now.

      there is patch button in patch & keymaker, press it and select > “C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 4\BCompare.exe”

    Worked at the second try as one has to run the Keygen/patcher as Administrator. Also blocked it in my Firewall. Thank you for your assistance, it is appreciated. I think I will look around your site and I have subscribed as well. All The Best. 🙂

    A HUGE THANK YOU! I was really worried about this when my antivirus picked it up, but it worked as you described.. allow the keygen in firewall, close Beyond Compare if it’s open, run keygen as admin, patch the Beyond Compare exe, generate new key with a random name in the keygen, register it in Beyond compare (no need to put in the random username anywhere again).. yay!

    you have no idea how long I’ve been wanting this app, it’s super useful for developers needing to manage source code, etc.
